We are offering this lovely saxophone with a new replacement case(see photos) a mouthpiece and a neck strap(not shown) Great price for a piece of American history. If you are a doubler or serious amateur you might want an easy playing horn that looks and feels great. A light weight horn with a sweet and more delicate sound than the Conn, King or Buescher horns of the same period. We just overhauled this lovely alto using Music Medic pads with metal resonators. There are some ripple marks where a dent was removed from the bow. Fortunately this saxophone dates from the period when Holton was putting out it's best horns. His quality slacked off by the late 1920's and Holton is not known today for quality saxophones. Realizing that he could not turn a profit based on his current standards.

This alto saxophone serial number 19921 dates from c.1924 when Holton was desperately trying to compete with the Elkhart manufacturers of the day.
